The washing device has a water outlet connected with a water tank. The water outlet is arranged at a rod (4), which is extendable from an interior of a motor vehicle (2). A cleaning unit outlet is arranged at the rod, where the cleaning unit outlet is connected with a cleaning unit storage device (8). The rod is extendable from a side lining (5) of a luggage compartment (1) of the motor vehicle. The rod is driven by an electric drive device, which is activated by a pull switch (6) integrated into the rod.
