The converter has an integrated voltage controller used as a voltage reference. A standard-logic-integrated circuit or a circuit part of an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) and a field programmable gate array (FPGA) is used as a control circuit. A bipolar transistor is used for current limiting of a switching transistor. A difference between an output voltage and a stabilized reference voltage is used as a control parameter by the bipolar transistor and a voltage divider.
