The arrangement has multiple cover plates (10) such as base plates, roof plates and partition plates, closing an opening (14) of a switchgear cabinet enclosed by a frame (12). The cover plates includes recesses (16, 18) that are formed for feeding through cables or wires, where the recesses are coverable by a selected number of standardized module plates with masses adapted to the recesses. Uniform assembly interfaces are formed between the recesses in the cover plates and the standardized module plates. A cable insertion sleeve is made of flexible plastic or rubber.
