<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel water-soluble photoinitiator that affords an aqueous photopolymerizable/crosslinkable compound and to provide, using the water-soluble photoinitiator, a safe photopolymerizable/crosslinkable composition exhibiting high curing sensitivity at a light wavelength of 365 nm and good preservability under an indoor fluorescent lamp. <P>SOLUTION: The water-soluble photoinitiator comprises a compound represented by general formula (1) to which the -X-Y group below is bonded. In the formula, at least one of the two benzene rings has at least one -X-Y group and the two benzene rings may further bear a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group or an alkylthio group; in the -X-Y group, X is O or S and Y is an alkylene-Z (wherein Z is a carboxylic acid salt or a sulfonic acid salt) or an (alkylene-O)<SB>n</SB>-sulfonic acid salt; and R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>are each a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
