<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically correct a capability value so as to keep capability balance with other items when the capability value of a specific item is too high in a network type game system. <P>SOLUTION: An individual function server adds 1 to the number nx of uses of a used item x in S81. In next S82, the number nx of uses of the item x is added to the number N of total uses of a category to which the used item belongs. Continued from that, it goes to S83 to calculate an evaluation value of the item from the total number of uses of the category to which the item belongs by a predetermined method of calculation. In the next S84, the capability value (attack power) and parameters of the item are reduced so as to be within a tolerable variation range of the item corresponding to an evaluated value of the item.
