<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device capable of suppressing an image quality defect caused by a droop phenomenon relating to a semiconductor laser based on pulse width information indicating the pulse width of laser light emitted by the semiconductor laser. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing device includes a conversion means for converting pixel data of m (m is a positive integer) bits into pixel data of n (n is a positive integer, n<m) bits, a storage means for storing pulse width information indicating the pulse width of laser light emitted from a semiconductor laser corresponding to pixel data converted by the conversion means for past pixels corresponding to a predetermined number of pixels with reference to a pixel immediately before a pixel of interest, a generation means for generating a correction value based on a content stored in the storage means, and a correction means for correcting obtained gray-scale data based on the correction value generated by the generation means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
