<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressing member which certainly pressurizes an optical fiber positioned diagonally with respect to the edge of a substrate against the substrate and to provide an optical device having the pressing member. <P>SOLUTION: The optical device (1) has: the optical fiber (8) positioned on the substrate (2) and diagonally extending with respect to the edge (38a) of the substrate (2); and the pressing member (28) arranged on the optical fiber (8) to pressurize the optical fiber (8) against the substrate (2). The pressurizing member (28) has: a groove (20) to hold the optical fiber (8) along the optical fiber (8); and an edge part (44a) of a parallel side face (42a) supported by the substrate (2) in a region (40) between the edge (38a) of the substrate (2) and the optical fiber (8), wherein the edge part (44a) is located on the line parallel to the axis line (8a) of the optical fiber (8). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
