<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system capable of reducing a load upon a DDNS (dynamic domain name system) server while improving versatility of a router. <P>SOLUTION: In a network system, each of terminals 14a-14c iteratively inquire the global IP address (address) of a router 102 to a DDNS server 12 via the router 102 and when an address reported from the DDNS server 12 this time is different from an address reported the last time, the DDNS server 12 is requested to update domain name - address management information relating to the router 102. The DDNS server 12 reports an address that is valid at the present point of time, in response to the inquiry from any one of the terminals 14a-14c, invalidates notification processing for a specified period of time from execution of notification processing to any one of the terminals 14a-14c, and then carries out update processing in response to a request from any one of the terminals 14a-14c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
