PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish a frequency stabilization light source from which output light of stabilized frequency can be obtained in a simple configuration. SOLUTION: A frequency stabilization light source comprises a laser light source 210 which generates continuous oscillation laser light; an optical demultiplexer 220 for demultiplexing a part of power of the laser light; an optical modulator 230 which applies modulation to the demultiplexed laser light to generate modulated sidebands; a variable frequency generating means 270 for generating an electrical signal to be applied to the optical modulator; a low-frequency oscillator 280 which generates an electrical signal for varying the output frequency of the variable frequency generating means; an absorption cell 240, which inputs the modulated light outputted from the optical modulator and has an absorption line frequency close to one of the modulated sidebands generated by the optical modulator; a detector 250 which photodetects light outputted from the absorption cell; a synchronous detector 290, which performs synchronization detection from an output signal of the detector and the output signal of the low-frequency oscillator; and a laser light frequency control means 260 which controls the output light frequency of the laser light source, according to the output signal of the synchronizing detector.
