PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biosensor substrate capable of restraining a protein or a compound having a positive charge from being nonspecifically adsorbed. SOLUTION: The biosensor substrate includes a substrate modified with a polysuccharide containing 0.001 or more and less than 0.3 of dissociation group having 8 or less of pKa (acid dissociation constant), and the polysuccharide is immobilized with a ligand forming a bond of Kd (bonding constant) of 10<SP>-12</SP>M or less, with a tag molecule.
