PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container handling vehicle capable of easily performing the engagement work of a hook and a container. SOLUTION: The hook 6 has a restriction member 16, and the restriction member 16 is turnable between a restricted position where an engagement pin 11 of the container 10 is suppressed from being removed from a recess 8 of the hook 6 and a released position where the pin becomes engageable and disengageable. The restriction member 16 has a surface 15 to be pressed and a receiving surface 18. The surface 15 to be pressed is projected from the inner surface 8a of the recess 8 and turns the restriction member 16 in a direction becoming a restriction position side by being pressed by the engagement pin 11. The receiving surface 18 is formed so as to be continued from the base end 7 side of the hook 6 to the surface 15 to be pressed, and can prevent the engagement pin 11 from being fitted between them.
