In a next generation mobile communication system in which a mapping position of a reference signal changes in the frequency direction and the time direction, it is possible to set the mapping positions of reference signals of adjacent cells at different positions. A base station device is used in a mobile communication system using the OFDM method in the downlink. The base station device includes means (202) for generating a first signal, means (214) for generating a second signal, means (206) for multiplexing the first signal and the second signal and mapping them on a subcarrier, and a mapping decision unit (216) for deciding the positionof the subcarrier onto which the second signal is mapped. The mapping decision unit decides the subcarrier position where the second signal is mapped according to a mapping pattern defined by a sequence of two stages each correlated with the cell group ID.
