PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin-coated ferrite carrier for electrophotographic developer which has preferable roundness and average particle size, has small standard deviation of them and, when used as a developer together with toner, exhibits the drastically improved rising property of charging, and to provide an electrophotographic developer using the resin-coated ferrite carrier. SOLUTION: In the resin-coated ferrite carrier for electrophotographic developer, a ferrite carrier core material has a BET relative surface area of 900 to 5,000 cm<SP>2</SP>/g and an apparent density of 2.30 to 2.80 g/cm<SP>2</SP>.
