摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module of which the light to be optically amplified and outputted is made to be high power, and issues of damage imparted to other optical components as well as heating are reduced. SOLUTION: The optical module 1 comprises a seed light source 11, an excitation light source 12, an optical coupler 13, an amplifying optical fiber 21, an absorbing optical fiber 22, an APC optical connecter 31, and an optical system 32. Each of the amplifying optical fiber and the absorbing optical fiber comprises a core, a first clad, a second clad, and a third clad. The light to be amplified is waveguided by the core in a single mode, and the excitation light is waveguided by the core, first clad, and second clad in a multimode. The core of the amplifying optical fiber is added with an amplifying dopant which is excited by the excitation light for optically amplifying the light to be amplified.
