PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic capacitor achieving an excellent productivity, while suppressing the occurrence of whiskers of a lead wire of a capacitor not containing lead, by devising a lead wire through hole of a sealing rubber. SOLUTION: There is provided an electrolytic capacitor in which a capacitor element is stored in an outer case, the capacitor element including: a lead wire obtained by welding a metal wire formed with a metal plating layer mainly composed of tin, to an aluminum wire; an opening part of the outer case is sealed by a sealing rubber 3; and the lead wire led out from the capacitor element is inserted through a lead wire through hole 5 of the sealing rubber 3 to be led out to outside, wherein the lead wire through hole 5 of the sealing rubber 3 is made of a thin film, and a storage part 6 formed into a columnar shape having gradually decreasing diameter toward the outside of the capacitor is formed, for storing a welding part between the metal wire and the aluminum wire.
