PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly carry out a sheet bunch from a folding roll onto a delivery tray through a route curved upward or downward. SOLUTION: The sheet folding device comprises a sheet bunch support means for holding a sheet bunch in a folding position, a pair of folding rolls, a folding blade for inserting a sheet bunch to a nip position on the folding rolls, a stacker for housing the sheet bunch from the folding roll, a carry-out guide for guiding the sheet bunch from the folding roll to the stacker, a roll driving means for driving a first and a second folding rolls for rotation, a blade driving means for moving the folding blade from a waiting position to the nip position, and a drive control means for controlling drive of them. The stacker is arranged upstream or downstream in the sheet bunch transferring direction, and the carry-out guide means is structured of a route curved upward or downward. When carrying out the sheet bunch folded by the folding roll to the carry-out guide means, the drive control means sets the sheet feeding quantity of the first and the second rolls structuring the folding roll different from each other.
