PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press device and a press method required for obtaining a high quality wheel for vehicles relating to a press device for pressing an intermediate raw material for vehicles having a disk raw material and a rim raw material provided with a working datum plane which is a reference plane for cutting practiced in a post step. SOLUTION: The press device includes pressing members 212, 312 which press the working datum plane 9111a disposed in the rim raw material 91, and straightening tools 211, 321 which press the disk raw material 90 in a transverse direction R in such a manner that the position is the rim transverse direction R with respect to the working datum plane 9111a pressed by the pressing members 212, 312 is made in a prescribed position.
