The device has a cylinder (2) receiving a plastic melt, where the cylinder is provided with a nozzle (3) for outputting the plastic melt. The cylinder is provided in a region of the nozzle with a casing (4), which encloses the cylinder sectionwise, and with an exhaust port (5) in connection with nozzle from which smoke escapes. Heating elements (6) i.e. heating tapes, are arranged at a lateral surface of the cylinder for heating the plastic melt, where the heating elements are covered by a casing. The heating elements includes an insulator (7) that is separated from the casing.
