A broadcasting receiving apparatus and a broadcasting receiving method are provided to control connection between a rod antenna and an earphone antenna using an antenna switch which is manually turned on or off by a user, thereby acquiring the optimal receive sensitivity adaptively according to a surrounding radio wave environment. A broadcasting receiving apparatus includes a rod antenna(111), an earphone antenna(112), an antenna switch(114), a rod antenna matching unit(115), an earphone antenna matching unit(116), a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) RF(Radio Frequency) processor(117), an FM(Frequency Modulation) RF processor(118), and a broadcasting signal processor(119). The rod antenna receives a DMB signal or an FM radio broadcasting signal. The earphone antenna is detachably connected to the broadcasting receiving apparatus and receives the DMB signal or the FM radio broadcasting signal. The rod antenna matching unit matches the DMB signal. The earphone antenna matching unit matches the FM radio broadcasting signal. The antenna switch is turned on by a user to connect the rod antenna and the earphone antenna, or is turned off by the user to disconnect the rod antenna and the earphone antenna. The earphone antenna matching unit filters the FM radio broadcasting signal inputted through the antenna switch to cancel noise, filters the FM radio broadcasting signal inputted through the earphone antenna to cancel noise, and filters the DMB signal inputted through the earphone antenna to cancel noise.
