<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve excellent image formation free from color shift regardless of influence by conveyance behavior of recording material. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with: a color shift detection image forming means 5 equipped with a plurality of image-formation parts 1 and a recording material conveying body 2, and selectively forming a color shift detection image TG (referring to Fig.2) on the recording material 3 or the recording material conveying body 2 by respective image-formation parts 1; a color shift detector 6 detecting color shift on the basis of the color shift detection image TG selectively formed on the recording material 3 or the recording material conveying body 2 by the color shift detection image forming means 5; a recording material color shift correction means 7 correcting the color shift on the basis of color shift detection information on the recording material 3 by the color shift detector 6; and a conveying body color shift correction means 8 correcting the color shift on the basis of variation of the color shift detection information on the recording material conveying body 2 with the color shift detection information on the recording material conveying body 2 by the color shift detector 6 after correcting the color shift by the recording material color shift correction means 7 as reference. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
