<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a link to be used by a communication path in each hop and adaptation in a management domain or a layer boundary appropriately and automatically, according to a service class and a maintenance requirement, without complicating a control sequence in an MPLS/GMPLS network. <P>SOLUTION: First, an original node includes a path establishment request means carried over a communication path establishment control message with a server identifier and a service attribute to be provided. Secondly, each node includes a means for deciding maintenance requirements of the communication path and adaptation, based on the server identifier and/or the service attribute. Thirdly, by comparing the maintenance conditions of network resources with the above maintenance requirements, a link and a node passing on the communication path are determined.
