PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely align a reference image and a target image mutually. SOLUTION: An imaging device 100 includes a CPU 71. The CPU 71 limits a template search area on the target image to the reference image among a plurality of continuously taken images so that the search area does not protrude from the edge part of the target image to the outside, and applies an inside motion vector of an inside adjacent template existing adjacently to the inside of a target template of the reference image as a motion vector of the target template. When a pixel of the target template is on the outside of the edge part of the target image, alignment between the reference image and the target image is carried out without using the motion vector of the target plate and image composition is carried out by the CPU 71.
