PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp in which lifetime of the lamp itself is made longer and the electrode of the lamp can be manufactured easily, and a lighting system. SOLUTION: The discharge lamp 1 has a glass tube 10 being a translucent airtight container in which discharge medium is filled and sealed, outer electrodes 11a, 11b as a first electrode formed by ultrasonic solder dipping at both ends of the glass tube 10, and inner electrodes 12a, 12b as a second electrode which are installed to be separated so as not to contact each of the outer electrodes 11a, 11b at both ends of the glass tube 10. Thereby, the lifetime of the lamp can be made longer than a discharge lamp which carries out discharge using a pair of electrodes. Furthermore, since the outer electrodes 11a, 11b are formed by ultrasonic solder dipping, they can be manufactured by far more easily than the case using a base type. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
