PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent material slurry in which separation of a fluorescent material film of a straight line portion and a curved portion of a glass bulb can be both suppressed, and to provide a curved fluorescent lamp of high reliability using this fluorescent material slurry. SOLUTION: The curved fluorescent lamp 1 is provided with a glass bulb 2 which is curved and bent in U shape at nearly the center, a pair of electrodes 4 installed at both ends of the glass bulb 2, a discharge medium filled into the glass bulb 2, and a fluorescent material film 3 coated on the inner face of the glass bulb 2. The fluorescent material film 3 is formed by making a fluorescent material slurry flow in the bulb 2, and by drying and calcining it. The fluorescent material slurry includes a fluorescent material, a water soluble binder containing borate, and a binder with 40 m<SP>2</SP>/g or less of BET value. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
