PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device manufacturing method capable of suppressing the influence of the dimensional change of a flexible substrate before press-contacting, and capable of enhancing the positional accuracy upon press-contacting between an external connection terminal and an external wiring, in the case of manufacturing the display device by using the flexible substrate. SOLUTION: The display device manufacturing method includes a formation process to array pixels 20 in two intersecting directions on the flexible substrate 10, and terminals 14 and 18 for connecting the pixels arrayed in the two directions on the substrate to the outer wiring are formed to be arrayed in parallel in a direction X where the dimensional change rate of the substrate is smaller, among two directions on the substrate.
