PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved signaling in a cellular communication system. SOLUTION: The user equipment UE101 of the cellular communication system transmits scheduling support data to a base station 105 provided with a base station scheduler 209 for scheduling packet data. The scheduling support data are generated by a scheduling support data generator 223 connected to a packet data transmission buffer 211 relating to packet data transmission. A first transport channel controller 217 allocates other data to a first transport channel and a second transport channel controller 225 allocates the scheduling support data to a signaling transport channel.
