PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement device capable of easily measuring the moving amount of a cylindrical roller in a retainer in the subassembly for the roller bearing having an outer ring, the cylindrical roller and the retainer. SOLUTION: The measurement device for measuring moving amount of rolling object comprises the measurement main body 1 capable of shrinking in a diameter direction of a subassembly 10, and a pair of contact parts 4 and 5 provided at both the end parts of the shrinking direction of the measurement main body 1. The contact parts 4 and 5 are respectively attracting an opposite cylindrical rollers 13 and 13 across the center line C of the subassembly 10 from internal diameter side. In the state that the contact parts 4 and 5 are attracting the cylindrical rollers 13 and 13, the amount of expansion and contraction of the measurement main body 1 generated by moving the cylindrical rollers 13 and 13 to the radial direction is measured by a measurement part 7.
