PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out accurate cutting operation easily and to facilitate machining of a workpiece with thickness preventing the whole of the workpiece from being inserted between jaws. SOLUTION: The cutting device is constructed of a pair of jaws 2 and 3 connected by a shaft 4 freely rotationally relatively and opened/closed by a drive means, cutting blades 20 and 30 respectively provided with cutting edges in the direction crossing the shaft at right angles and arranged on the facing sides of these jaws, and splitting blades 21 and 31 provided with cutting edges in the parallel direction to the shaft and respectively arranged at the tip edges of the respective jaws. The blade 20 of the jaw 2 has a recessed arc shape, while the blade 30 arranged on the recessed arcuate inner circumference side of the jaw 3 has a projected arcuate shape. The tip part having the splitting blade 31 of the jaw 3 extends to the jaw 2 side beyond the part for mounting the blade 30, and the tip part of the jaw 2 enters the inside of the tip part of the jaw 3 when the both of the jaws 2 and 3 are closed.
