PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a physical activity meter, deriving the activity amount in consideration of user's vertical movement. SOLUTION: This physical activity meter K includes: an acceleration sensor 1 for detecting the exercise of a use; a position detecting part 5 for detecting the position in the horizontal direction and in the direction of height utilizing a GPS function; and a physical activity amount computing part 10 for computing the activity amount of the user based on the detection output of the acceleration sensor 1 and the positional information in the height direction of the user detected by the position detecting part 5.
