The invention is characterized in that the adhesive weight elements (8) are fed to a rolling roller (3) in the form of a continuous strand of weights (5) via a feed device (2) located on the balancing head (1). The balancing head (1) is mounted stationarily or is connected to an execution arm (10) of the handling device (9) in a non-positive manner, a rolling roller (3) of the balancing head (1) pressing the front end of the continuous strand of weights (5) onto the front end of the balancing surface (17) and then rolling off thereon, a cutting device (4) being mounted in the rolling roller (3) or upstream of the rolling roller (3) and cutting the continuous strand of weights (5) of the adhesive weight elements (8) to the determined length.
