The present invention provides a system for feeding which comprises a mixing device (1); a control device (2) for controlling the mixing device (1) to mix or make a batch of feed according to a selected recipe; a feed area (3) provided for receiving the batch of mixed feed and for offering it to at least one animal; and a measuring arrangement (4) in connection with the feed area for repeatedly or continuously measuring the amount of existing remaining mixed feed according to the selected recipe on the feed area (3), wherein the control device (2) is provided to repeatedly or constantly compare each measured existing remaining amount of feed at the feed area (3) with a threshold value, and when a measured value falls below the threshold, to control the mixing device to mix or make a new batch of feed according to the selected recipe. |
