METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING MASS BALANCE OF FUEL CELL

A method for measuring the mass balance of a fuel cell, and an apparatus for measuring the mass balance of a fuel cell are provided to obtain the parameters to a recycler, a condenser or an air pump for the optimum efficiency of a fuel cell stack. A method for measuring the mass balance of a fuel cell comprises the steps of supplying a fuel solution to the anode of a fuel cell stack to be measured and supplying an oxidant to the cathode; measuring the M(molar concentration) and amount of the fuel solution supplied to the anode and the flux of the oxidant supplied to the cathode; connecting a load of a certain capacity to the fuel cell stack; measuring the current and voltage generated at the fuel cell stack; measuring the molar concentration and amount of the fuel solution recovered from the anode; measuring the molar concentration and amount of the fluid discharged from the cathode; and calculating the efficiency of the fuel cell stack from the measured values.
