<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording medium having imaging properties equal to a photographic paper for a silver salt photograph, having high ink absorbing properties, excellent in light resistance and water resistance after printing, and having no cracking. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording medium is manufactured by providing at least a lower layer and an upper layer on a gas permeable substrate, and performing cast processing by using a re-wetting liquid on the upper layer. The lower layer is formed of a coating composition comprising a water-absorbing inorganic pigment, a latex, boric acid or its salt, and the upper layer is formed of a coating composition comprising a sub-micron pigment and polyvinyl alcohol, and the cast processing is executed by using the re-moistening liquid comprising an aqueous dispersion of a polymer resin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
