POWER STEERING DEVICE AND ITS DRIVE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device achieving high responsiveness without increasing the size of a magnet motor.

SOLUTION: The power steering device (2) is constituted to generate steering assist force by a hydraulic mechanism (21) having a hydraulic pump (23), and is provided with the magnet motor (3) having a permanent magnet and driving the hydraulic pump (23) and with a motor drive device (4) for setting a leading phase of motor current with respect to speed electromotive voltage generated by the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet in accordance with speed electromotive voltage of the magnet motor (3) and driving the magnet motor (3) based on the leading phase.
