PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine particle-containing composition capable of providing a film having a thin thickness and excellent light-shielding properties.

SOLUTION: The method for producing the fine particle-containing composition includes dispersing metallic fine particles and/or metallic compound fine particles by using a polymer compound having a structure represented by general formula (1) (wherein, R1to R4are each independently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group or an aralkyl group; and X-is an anion).
