METHOD OF PRODUCING IRON-AND-STEEL SLAG FERTILIZER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the improvement of a long term stability during storage as well as further improvement of degradability in water, which results in the improvement in quality. SOLUTION: There is provided a method for production of an iron-and-steel slag fertilizer from the slag containing a free calcium oxide as a main raw material. The method comprises a pulverizing process of pulverizing the iron-and-steel slag into fine particles; a granulating process of granulating the fine particles using a binder; and an aging process of leaving the slag for a required period of time before and/or after the pulverizing process. The aging process comprises an atmospheric aging process for retaining the slag in the atmosphere and a moisture aging process for retaining in a moisture atmosphere. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
