<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game apparatus for playing a mahjong game, capable of allowing even a beginner to enjoy the game. <P>SOLUTION: A predetermined bet rate is set with respect to a plurality of finish combinations, based on the operation of an operation part by a player. The tiles in a ready-for-winning state, which is finished with one effective tile, are distributed to the player, and the tiles distributed to the player are displayed in a display part. The player picks up one tile, based on the operation of the operation part by the player, and the tiles-in-hand, to which one picked-up tile is added, are displayed in the display part. Then, it is determined whether the combination is completed by the tiles-in-hand or not. When the combination is completed and finished with the tiles-in-hand, a game value is put-out based on the bet rate which is set with respect to the finish combination.
