PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain compaction and thinning without degrading the cooling performance of a heat sink. SOLUTION: The thermal printer comprises a heat sink 5 in which a latent heat storage sheet 7 produced by adding a plurality of heat storage materials 9 to a base material 8 is fixed to a heat conduction plate 6. The heat conduction plate 6 is provided in contact with a thermal head 2 and each heat storage material 9 fuses when the absorbed heat reaches a predetermined temperature. The heat storage sheet 7 stores heat while keeping a predetermined temperature when each heat storage material 9 fuses. On the surface of the heat storage sheet 7, a radiation part 10 subjected to surface treatment for enhancing the radiation rate of the heat storage sheet 7 is provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
