<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor that can certainly fix an insulator for supporting a terminal to a holder, and can prevent the occurrence of excessive stress in the insulator. <P>SOLUTION: A hollow elastic member 14 is interposed in a compressed state between the inner surface of a casing 8 fixed to one end section of the holder 4 and the outer surface of the insulator 7 for supporting the terminal 6.
