<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a conventional variable displacement swash plate compressor, wherein for example, when a piston reciprocates in a cylinder bore, the piston finely rotates around the cylinder bore axis and makes noise by contacting with the cylinder block and a contact part wears. <P>SOLUTION: In the piston structure of the swash plate compressor, the piston 10 is provided with a fine rotation restricting part for an inner wall of a cylinder block 20 in this compressor. In the fine rotation restricting part, a non-contact part which does not contact with the inner wall of the cylinder block and end parts which contact with the inner wall of the cylinder block at both sides across the non-contact part are formed so that one of the end parts contacts with the inner wall of the cylinder block at two points when the piston finely rotates and one of its end parts contacts with the inner wall of the cylinder block and another one is apart from the inner wall.
