PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique for assisting a singer in improving his singing skill for a karaoke device which plays karaoke based upon musical piece data. SOLUTION: An audio control unit 24 extracts singing pitch data input through a microphone 25. A control unit 12 calculates a pitch difference, "+" of the pitch difference, and "-" of the pitch difference at an interval of each of characters representing lyrics from reference pitch data extracted from score data and the singing pitch data. The audio control unit 24 extracts detection time input through the microphone 25 at the interval. The control unit 12 calculates a time difference between rise time extracted from the score data and the detection time, "+" of the time difference, and "-" of the time difference. Vectors by the characters representing the lyrics are generated by the characters based upon the pitch difference of each character, "+" of the pitch difference, and "-" of the pitch difference, and the time difference of each character, "+" of the time difference, and "-" of the time difference.
