PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for and a method of mixing gases capable of preventing the mixing ratio of the gas fed from a compressor and the combustion gas fed from an evaporator from being suddenly changed even if the compression capacity of the compressor is changed discontinuously. SOLUTION: When the compression capacity of the compressor 7 is changed discontinuously, (A) when the gas is fed from the compressor 7, the flow rate of the circulating gas flowing in a circulation gas pipe 11 is gradually increased until the generally all the gas fed from the compressor 7 is circulated through the circulation gas pipe 11 in the circulation state, (B) the compression capacity of the compressor 7 is changed discontinuously in the circulation state, and (C) when the gas is not fed from the compressor 7, the flow rate of the circulating gas flowing in the circulation gas pipe 11 in the circulation state is reduced gradually.
