PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine capable of immediately judging abnormal action of a check valve by only adding a small simple mechanism in engines supplying fuel gas to a combustion chamber from a fuel gas passage via the check valve. SOLUTION: The engine is provided with a gas state detection means 45 detecting a predetermined gas state in one cycle in a fuel gas passage 14, and a check valve abnormal action judging means 50 judging existence of abnormal action of the check valve 13 based on detection result of the gas state detection means 45 per each cycle.
