PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping coating which can easily exhibit a damping performance enhanced with a damping property-imparting component in a prescribed temperature range in a good balance. SOLUTION: This damping coating comprises an aqueous resin dispersion in which resin particles for forming coating films are dispersed in an aqueous dispersing medium, and the damping property-imparting component for imparting a damping property to the coating films. The damping property-imparting component is at least one compound selected from benzothiazyl-based compounds, benzotriazole-based compounds, diphenylacrylate-based compounds, and orthophosphate-based compounds, and the resin particles comprise 100 pts.mass of the first particles having a glass transition point in a range of 20 to 30°C and 300 to 600 pts.mass of the second particles having a glass transition point in a range of 45 to 55°C.
