PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cellulosic composition, a cellulosic film, an optical compensation sheet, a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display device, in more detail, a cellulosic film having slight humidity dependence of inplane retardation (Re) and retardation (Rth) in the thickness direction, and a retardation film, an optical compensation sheet, a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display device using the same. SOLUTION: The cellulosic composition comprises a cellulosic containing a 5-30C aliphatic acyl group (A) and a 2-4C aliphatic acyl group (B) in which the substitution degree of the acyl group (A) satisfies a specific range.
