PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition containing polylactic acid, and to provide a molded article comprising the composition and having stability to thermal distortion. SOLUTION: The polylactic acid composition simultaneously satisfies the following requirements (a) to (g): (a) having≥70,000 and≤700,000 weight average molecular weight; (b) containing≥3 and≤3,000 ppm of Sn atom and/or Ti atom; (c) containing≥10 and≤5,000 ppm of P atom; (d) having≥0.01 and≤5 ratio of (number of gram atom of Sn and/or Ti)/(number of gram atom of P); (e) having≤0.2 wt.% content of compounds having≤150 molecular weights; (f) having≤30 eq./ton of COOH terminal group concentration; and (g) having≥50 and≤1,000 ppm of water content.
