PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase sorting speed and to reduce cost in an inspection device sorting acceptable/unacceptable products of rod-like workpieces with heads, such as screws. SOLUTION: The inspection device is provided with a continuous workpiece moving passage while a plurality of unit passages 13-17 change the directions at corner parts 4-7. The respective unit passages 13-17 are constituted of pairs of guide rails 18-22 extending in parallel, and the screw (workpiece) 1 moves in a suspended attitude with a head 3 set upward. The screw 1 is moved by air cylinders 28-31. For example, a total length is measured by a first sensor 8 at a third corner 6, the outer diameter of the head 3 is measured by a second sensor 9 during passing through the fourth unit passage 16, and the outer diameter of a shaft (screw part) 2 is inspected by a third sensor 10 at the fifth unit passage 17.
