The pedal unit includes a rotating element (26) coupled to a pedal element (12), an electric motor (20) with a rotor (24) and stator element (22) to produce a counter-force against the pedal movement, and a freewheel coupling unit. The rotor and the rotating element are installed next to each other to rotate around a common rotational axis. The freewheel coupling unit is installed between the rotor and rotating element. A sensor as a rotation sensor (32) is installed in the extension of the common rotational axis of the rotor and rotating element. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a pedal sub-assembly including the aforesaid pedal unit; and (B) a motor vehicle equipped with the aforesaid pedal unit. |
