<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric porcelain composition the breakdown voltage and life characteristics of which can be improved while excellently keeping a relative dielectric constant, dielectric loss and capacitance-temperature characteristics thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the dielectric porcelain composition, which has a principal component containing a dielectric oxide which is shown by general formula: ABO<SB>3</SB>(wherein A is one or more elements selected from Ba, Ca, Sr and Mg; and B is one or more elements selected from Ti, Zr and Hf) and has a perovskite-type crystal structure, comprises the steps of: preparing raw materials of the principal component containing the dielectric oxide shown by ABO<SB>3</SB>; preparing raw materials of an assistant component containing the compound oxide shown by M<SB>4</SB>R<SB>6</SB>O(SiO<SB>4</SB>)<SB>6</SB>(wherein M is at least one element selected from Ca and Sr; and R is at least one element selected from Sc, Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu); mixing raw materials of the principal component with those of the assistant component to obtain a raw material of the dielectric porcelain composition; and firing the raw material of the dielectric porcelain composition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
