<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive device that can change over from a rectangular wave drive to a sine wave drive at proper timing. <P>SOLUTION: The motor drive device includes: a position detection means, which outputs a position detection signal; a position calculation means 40, which outputs estimated position signals Hu, θH, θ; a rectangular wave generation means 32, which generates a rectangular drive signal; a drive means (an inverter) 20, which supplies a drive voltage or a drive current to three-phase drive windings; and a selection means, which selects a drive signal that is supplied to the drive means (the inverter) 20 from the rectangular wave signal generated by the rectangular wave generation means 32 and the sine wave signal generated by a sine wave generation means 31 by the number of periods or the width of the periods of the position signal Hu outputted by the position calculation means 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
